北宋宦游士人基于一种“他者”视野观照陕北全貌，从“异乡人”的身份与陕北文化进行对话，将自己的思想感情诉诸笔端。这些诗作是对陕北地理空间的真实书写，呈现出了明显的空间维度。“外层空间”展现了陕北自然环境和人文环境对文人创作的影响，以客观存在的自然地理空间为依托，经由想象与审美的加工创造，形成了诗作的“内层空间”。宦游诗中所建构的陕北自然地理空间透露出萧瑟与悲情，这更是宦游士人内心情感的真实写照。

The scholar-officials of the Northern Song Dynasty, adopting an "otherness" perspective, engaged with the cultural landscape of northern Shaanxi through the identity of "outsiders", translating their intellectual and emotional responses into poetic expressions. These poems authentically document the geographical space of northern Shaanxi, demonstrating a distinct spatial duality. The "external space" reflects the influence of the region's natural and cultural environments on literary creation, grounded in objective geographical realities yet transformed through imagination and aesthetic reinterpretation into the "internal space" of the poems. The natural landscapes of northern Shaanxi constructed in these works—marked by desolation and melancholy—serve as genuine reflections of the inner sentiments of the traveling literati.
